ano'ng pangalan mo?

got this from Abet, Jhen and Mon, kaya sumulat din ako ng sa akin.

Rule: List all the names you were called by and the people who calls you that. Tag at least 5 members of your contacts and give a comment on their site for them to know they've been tagged.

Christian - elementary at high school classmates

Be/Kuya Be (pronounced "Beh" as in "belat!")

Mark Lapid/Mike Lapid - recently lang ito, this year lang. minsan, ito ang tawag sa akin nung mga nakapanood na ng mga "Saging Lang Ang May Puso" gags namin sa mga tours ng R.A.C.E. parang si Dhang yata ang unang tumawag sa akin ng "Mike Lapid," if i remember correctly. pang-alter-ego/hero worship lang po ito. =))

Tom/Entoms/Tommy/Toma - bihira din gamitin ang mga ito, high school days pa ito. this is based on my surname.

these pics were taken last Sunday, as we were breaking camp at Graceland, Tayabas and preparing to go to Majayjay, Liliw and UP Los Baños as part of Terence and Thina's anniversary celebration which started as early as the 12th of September sa WG Diner.

this was probably the sosiest camping ever, and was even dubbed "extreme camping" by us participants. too bad at walang awarding ceremonies ng certificates of completion, hehehe... pero kidding aside, i had a great time because of: a) the sights and b) the people who were kasama in this trip. sorry, i can't get the coño-ism off my kamalayan, as in consciousness pa, dude, man, pare. shucks, i'm like, so dyahe. *hiya*

sobrang saya talaga ng weekend na ito dahil nga sa mga sumama na bukod sa makukulit, eh panay pa ang joketime - as in maya't maya may hihirit at may gagatong pa. may tour guide pa kaming kasama (na kamukha ng Mayor ng Pagsanjan na si ER Ejercito a.k.a. George Estregan, Jr.), as in nagkaroon pa tuloy kami ng crash course tungkol sa origin ng mga pangalan ng ilang mga bayan sa Laguna. BUT WAIT... THERE'S MORE! panay din ang "do the locomotion" naming mga baliw throughout this celebration, as in nakaka-LSS na talaga. muli, maraming salamat, lalo na kina Thina at Terence sa pag-imbita. it's an honor for me to be part of this. sana ay marami pang anniversaries at blessings para sa inyong dalawa.

on the title, based siya dun sa gender-friendly commercial ng KFC Shrimp Surfers - ginawa kasi naming running joke yan all throughout the journey, along with the genie jokes, boy bastos chronicles, chinese sex feng shui, pahabaan ng b**at, at iba pang pampalipas-inip. *ay!!!* =))

p.s. na-LSS pa rin ako - "Everybody's doing a brand new dance now... come on baby, do the locomotion!" hahaha!

sa uulit-ulitin, guys and girls. ang sasarap ninyong kasama. =)

dreams (the weird ones, i mean)

i said in my previous entry that the next one would be about my OGL, but i had to write this entry down and post it. i had a strange dream last night – well, technically, it was this dawn, as i was only able to sleep at about 3:30 am – and i couldn’t make any sense out of it.

my dream was in technicolor (so it’s not in black and white, obviously) and it showed that i was watching a television program wherein a female host (presumably in her 40s) featured a man (in his 30s at least) putting on some sort of white cream all over his face. and the weird part was that, as i was watching that television program, i was also putting on that same white cream on my face. and when i was finished, that’s when i woke up. what the hell was that about? i am at a loss for a plausible explanation/interpretation.

if you thought that was weird, then you ain’t seen nothing yet. about 30 minutes ago, my cousin texted me about a weird dream he had last night. here it is:

ewan.

lost in Makati (a.k.a. the post-Eraserheads get-together)

last Saturday (well, technically it was already Sunday) i had one of the most fun nights out with friends in quite a while. i almost skipped it when the slacker in me thought that: “i’d be lost in Makati, so why bother, right?” but then again, my instincts (and some little lady’s convincing power) told me to go have a drink at that unholy hour. and besides, these friends of mine are some of the best people to have a sensible conversation with – and the buckets of beer just made the night much more enjoyable.

before i get ahead of myself, i’d like to share my experience GOING there – a.k.a. me and my lousy sense of direction in a place called Makati. i took a cab from home (i live in Pasig) to Makati and i was telling manong driver that I’d be landing at the corner of Buendia (not Ely) and Makati Avenue at a WG Diner. after plying the entire red light district, i thought that we had made a wrong turn and i asked to be brought at the Petron gas station at the corner of Buendia and Makati Ave. so i could walk and find the place for myself – it wasn’t exactly the best move – hell, it wasn’t even a good move, period. after getting instructions from Donnie through phone (not iPhone), i walked towards what i believed was the right turn he described, but it turned out that i made one wrong turn, so i went back to the gas station where i was at.

by this time, it started to rain, so i stopped to catch my breath as well as to text Jhen that i might have gone the wrong way as i still can’t find WG Diner near my location. she replied that it was near a Mercury Drug store and right across 7 Eleven in ANOTHER PART of Makati Avenue, so when i was talking to her, i was at a seemingly right but wrong reference point. so, out of pity (and perhaps exasperation), sinalubong na lang ako nina Abet at Donnie dun sa kinalalagyan ko. i even tried to walk towards the opposite direction, but i decided to go back, as there were no signs of any night life nearby. i heaved a sigh of relief nang makita ko sa kahabaan ng Makati Avenue sina Abet at Donnie, kaya dali-dali akong sumama sa kanila para maka-inom at maka-Sali na ako sa kwentuhan.

on a lighter note, pakiramdam ko ay nabawasan ang timbang ko dahil sa kalalakad na pinaggagawa ko nung gabing yun – eh kasi naman, ang pinaka-physical na ginawa ko this past week eh tugtugin sa gitara ang kantang “No One Else” ng Weezer. siyempre, sobrang enjoy ang madaling-araw ko kasama sina Abet, Donnie, Mon, Lanie at Jhen sa WG Diner – kaya kahit paano, tinawanan ko na lang ang katangahan ko sa directions dahil worth it ang company nila (seryoso ako dito, ha?). sa dami ng napag-kwentuhan namin, inabot na kami ng umaga – and in fact, ang kasunod na entry nito ay isang pagku-kwento tungkol sa aking nakaraang lovelife – so next time, OGL mood naman ako. i really had a great time with the five of you, kaya maraming salamat Abet, Donnie, Mon, Lanie at Jhen – sa uulitin at uulitin at uulitin pa. =o)
