another trip to the northern part of our country, courtesy of Radical Adventure Concepts and Events (RACE). i'm hoping to meet new friends here, and share drinks/conversations with old friends (aka The Usual Suspects).

POT - Fishcake (Live and Loud).wmv

POT's first single from their eponymous debut. this scorching funk/rock piece was performed live and loud, the way it should be. classic POT.

POT - Ulitin (Acoustic).wmv

this is an acoustic version of one of my favorite POT songs, Ulitin. this was a bit slow, unlike the more up-tempo album version, but it's still great nonetheless. also, their guitarist Ian Umali is also one of my favorite guitar players.

11. Long Hair or Short Hair? basta bagay/kaya niyang dalhin, it doesn't matter

12. Plastic or Metal? hindi ko ito maintindihan

13. Smells good? kahit amoy-shampoo lang ang gf ko, makukuha na niya ako - oo na, cheap akong lalake.

RACE Coron Tour, May 9-12, 2008

this is my second trip with Radical Adventure Concepts and Events (RACE) this year, and my third with them overall. this was also a reunion of sorts ng batch 1 participants (aka Club 202) ng Northern Exposure - Ilocos tour ng RACE last year, although hindi nakumpleto lahat.

this was a very enjoyable experience, from the scenery, to the company of friends, to the food, to the hilarious exchanges of hare-brained ideas and rib-tickling barbs - definitely priceless. the tags for this album should have been any of the following: 'bananas', 'adobo', 'calamares', 'ihaw-ihaw', 'mark lapid', 'beach', 'lake', etc. - i'd love to explain, but you should have been there in order to fully grasp the point.

i will write about this in detail, as soon as my workload lightens - as to when, i don't know yet.

salamat sa mga 'Radical Adbentureros' ng RACE team - pag-iipunan ko ang iba pang mga biyahe na i-o-organize ninyo sa hinaharap, although di ako makakasama sa bawat isa. take a bow, mga sir, because you deserve all the credit.

the quality of the pictures in this album are on the lower-end, so i apologize to you, dear viewers, because i'm not a photographer. i'm just a triggerhappy point-and-shoot person.

sabihin man ninyo na may anak na si Nina Gordon at tumaba si Louise Post, e wala akong pakialam. magagaling silang magsulat ng kanta, at dahil diyan, mahal ko sila - kung dalawa nga lang ang puso ko... pero sabi nga ng dakilang si Mark Lapid: "...Saging lang ang may puso! this is hands-down, one of my favorite songs of all time. this version is slightly different from what they played in NU 107 back then. come to think of it, i think this version is better. "I watch that girl destroy me..."

Dig - Believe.wmv

another song i discovered and liked during college. i liked the melody being played by 3 different guitarists, especially the part when they crank the distortion on the solo/octave part. and of course, the chorus just rents space in my head.

Seed - Rapture.wmv

another song i discovered and liked during college. great hooks, and the bass line is catchy too. when i first saw this video, i thought these guys would look geeky and not Blind Melon-esque. oh well, i guess i was wrong.
